The Virgin Facade

His neighbourhood aunt was almost double his age. Adolescent Param less than 16 years was lured and physically used for more than a year. On coming back home after one such concealed act, Param found his ailing mother gasping for breath in her loneliness. A few minutes later, she was dead. The innocent guy could not bear the loss. He put on the entire blame for the untimely demise of his mother on his own misdeeds; not finding any way out to atone for. Keeping the secret hidden in his heart and under the impulse of his impressionable age, the bewildered and restless guy vowed to remain chaste for the rest of his life. It was a too rigorous self-imposed austerity for almost 11 years suppressing all the youthful passion with deeper introspection. No doubt, he was a bright chap, yet his personality grew up as an upright and introvert guy who spent his time mostly with himself and near his book shelf. He was now at the age of 26-27 and his septuagenarian father began to persuade him for his marriage either of his own choice or through an arranged way. Enraged, he left his home. Immediately, at the metropolitan city, he had to undergo laproscopic surgery for uretric stone. From the hospital bed, he saw tears rolling down from his father's silent eyes. He read the unspoken and broke the vow for his father. The father selected the best available bride for him and the son immediately readied to enter into the most committed relationship. Not at all exhausted with the toils for almost a month in all the arrangements for invitation, catering, purchases etc, the would- be bridegroom was only looking forward to the dawn of commitment.
